CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume Before/After

These are my eyes without anything on them:

And with Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume:
There's definitely a huge difference between the two as the first picture it almost appears I don't have any lashes and in the second I do. So if you have super blonde lashes like I do and want a natural looking lash, this would be a great pick for you.

Cover Girl Lash Blast Volume retails for around $10, but you can usually find coupons and sales.

Is your volume true? or "false"?

How many times have you seen an ad like this and thought, "Wow! I want eyelashes like that! I've got to get some of that." You then run out to the store, find the product, rush home, rip open the package, admire the wand, apply to your lashes, and feel disappointment. Your lashes probably look darker and probably a bit thicker and longer, too, but do they really look like falsies as the ad implies? Then, maybe you notice the tiny print at the bottom of the models neck.

"Lash inserts were applied to both of Nicole's lashes to add lash count before applying mascara."

Say what????

You added false lashes before adding the product supposedly promising a false lash look?

In the US, you can get around truth-in-advertising laws by adding that teeny tiny disclaimer, but in the UK? They have much less tolerance for false advertising. In 2012, the Advertising Standards Authority banned a Dior ad starring Natalie Portman because of "post-production retouching on an area which was directly relevant to the apparent performance of the mascara product being advertised."

I bought this mascara because I'd been using CoverGirl Clump Crusher and there was a buy one, get one half off sale so I bought one of each. This isn't bad mascara.

Pros:
It doesn't clump.
It has a nice brush.
It does make my lashes look longer and thicker. However, I have very blonde lashes so it really just takes a deposit of color for my lashes to look longer and thicker.
It doesn't get crunchy; you can run your fingers over your lashes and they aren't stiff.

Cons:
The way the brush tapers at the end leaves a lot of mascara right at the tip so it tends to glob on if you're not careful.
I end up with it on my eyelids (could be the way I apply it, but I don't have this problem with others)
Doesn't really do all that much in the volume department.

For the $7.50 I spent on it, I'll definitely use it up, but I won't buy it again.
